1. Introduction

Life, so far, has been very dull. I wish that there were more action. Ever since Uncle Hiroshi, Uncle Juuki and Uncle Izumi died and everything went back to normal a few thousand years ago, everything has been calm and peaceful. Mom and Aunt Maji were ecstatic that peace finally ruled the realm. Although there are still a few civil wars and territorial disputes here and there, most likely caused by my cousin Hikari no doubt; peace has been lasting and I’m starting to get bored. Mom and Aunt Maji would say otherwise, but they can't since they left two thousand years ago.

32. NightWhat is the night like? Is it cold, bleak, and creepily silent? Or filled with wonder and beauty?
No. The night is a beautiful world. Why can't anyone else see that?
When the mighty sun sinks behind the distant mountain ranges to the west, the night comes to life.
At sunset, the graceful bats flock out of their caves, soaring into the air as they search for their next bountiful meal.

35. Hold My HandThe night was silent that night. That night, though the stars and the beautiful full moon glistened above, nothing made a sound. Not the mice and not the crickets. Only the gentle wind, made only noticeable by the gently swaying tree branches of the forest. The hunt is afoot.

13. MisfortuneDear Hanako, I don’t know when you are going to read this, or if you even noticed that I even bothered to write this. I just thought that I should just come out and say everything that I wanted to say since this fight first started.
